I have known Debbie for many years and have thoroughly enjoyed training with her.
Her Nordic walking sessions are always fun and varied and she ensures that everyone works to their own ability whilst getting the most from each session. I have also followed the Simple Steps programme which I found interesting, informative and achievable.
Debbie is a great motivator and really seems to understand the issues people face in reaching their goals. She is very supportive and a great personal trainer. I would highly recommend her. Sandra
I go Nordic Walking with Debbie on a regular basis in the Swallowfield area. I would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone thinking of taking up this exercise. I never feel as if I have been on the same walk twice because she rather cleverly mixes her routes and keeps a note of where she has taken you.
And somehow 90% of the time she manages to make the sun shine.
It is such great exercise and the conversation and company are always good, you don’t even realise you are exercising. She is brilliant at pointing out all the wildlife too. Mrs J.
I won a raffle prize of a taster course of nordic walking with Debbie. My friends laughed and said that I would never do it. However, I enjoyed the taster session so much I booked Debbie’s training sessions. It was lovely to walk in the countryside at a pace that I felt happy about, using the poles to work my upper body and feeling energised and happy. Debbie, of course, is the special factor as she is enthusiastic, encouraging and professional in her attitude and she has the knowledge and expertise in all aspects of this sport. I felt very safe with her and have bought the poles and I am excited that I have found a form of excercise that I enjoy. As a bonus I found my blood sugar level has reduced and this is a great as I am a diabetic. Thank you Debbie.

I first met Debbie when she came to speak to a local Breast Cancer Support Group about the virtues of Nordic Walking – especially after breast cancer surgery.
I have suffered badly with lymphoedema in my right arm for about 6 years and was, therefore, very interested to learn more about how I could look after my arm to help it from swelling.
I took the initial lessons with Debbie and am now hooked on Nordic Walking!! She is a great instructor, giving tips and correcting my posture whilst walking in beautiful countryside and at the same time having fun. I found my arm ached quite a lot to begin with and had I been on my own I probably would have given up!! But she encouraged me to continue and my arm is now very stable using Nordic Walking in conjunction with the manual lymphatic drainage I do and generally looking after the health of my arm.
Debbie is very good at listening while we walk and then gently giving advice on lifestyle and nutrition which has also been very helpful in making me focus on what is important in life.
I am not keen on gyms and in any case, cannot use much of the equipment due to the lymphoedema in my arm. So in essence, all I can do at the gym is the cardiovascular exercise – which I now achieve in the fresh air, Nordic Walking!!
I can highly recommend Debbie to anyone who wishes to exercise but doesn’t want to go to the gym – after all why go to the gym when Nordic Walking in the fresh air is an alternative!!!!Christine (Hampshire)
